6 Months Old!

Who's that?!

Chompin' on her thumb....so yummy.

All smiles for the camera.

A little tummy time.

Charlotte LOVES her ducky.

So, I'm obviously not the world's best blogger. It's hard to find a spare minute to blog, I'm really not sure how all these moms do it, maybe there's a secret I'm unaware of...if so please fill a sister in!!! My goal is to post at the very least once a month...maybe that could be my New Years Resolution. Maybe. In all honesty when I do have a spare moment blogging just doesn't seem to be making it to the top of my list....who wants blog when you could snuggle up on the sofa with your hubby in the evening? Not me!

So, Christmas is right around the corner and Santa has been working very hard to make it a memorable one! We're having Christmas at our home this year and I'm thrilled! It will be nice not to have to travel this year and just be at home with our family. Plus we'll have left overs for days and that means momma doesn't have to cooooooook! Merry Christmas to ME!

As you can tell, I define my life with how old Charlotte is.....it's not December it's 6 Months. I guess that happens when you're a momma. She's really hitting a lot of milestones this month. She's sitting up all by herself....she does fall over sometimes, but for the most part she's sitting! She really does not like to be on her belly for long, so I'm not sure how long it will take her to crawl, maybe she'll just start walking and skip crawling all together...who knows! She really likes to sit on the sofa like we all do...I think she just likes to be like the rest of her family.

She's eating big girl food in the evening, she loves bananas....oh how she loves bananas. She gags when she eats peas, she loves sweet potatoes, peaches and prunes (go figure). We're actually very glad she likes prunes....gets the digestive system flowing. Until you're a mom you don't understand how happy you are to see a poopy diaper.

She's been so great about sleeping, this girl loves to sleep in...she'll sleep until 8:30am some mornings and she goes to be at 8pm. She must get that from her momma!! Naps on the other hand are touch and go, she'll go down for a morning nap....but an afternoon nap is hit or miss. Poor girl gets so tired, but it's like she doesn't want to miss a thing, like another episode of Yo Gabba Gabba. (If you have kids you know the pain I'm talking about). I know all the words and the songs continuously play in my head..."Don't, Don't, Don't Bite Your Friends....".

Her hair is turning blonder by the day. When she was born it had a touch of red in it, and still does if the light hits it right or if she has orange or red on, but for the most part this chicks got blond hair and blue eyes....her daddy may have himself a little problem when she's about 15. Thank goodness for big brother Evan to watch out for her!!

Well, I guess my next post won't be until after the New Year....so Merry Christmas and Happy New Year........I hope Santa brings you everything you want and you all get to spend time with the ones you love. (All together now....."Awwwwwww").

Love to all!

5 Months Old!

Charlotte with her Godparents Uncle Chad and Aunt Brenden

MomMom and Charlotte

So Charlotte turned 5 months old on the 10th. I can't believe how fast she's growing. She's been practicing sitting up this month and started to eat oatmeal and peaches! She LOVES her peaches and she's been getting really good at eatting her big girl food.

This past weekend we had Charlotte Baptized and Randall's mom and stepdad were able to fly down to be here. Charlotte did really good in church and she loved watching the chore sing (to her). haha.

Evan starts Lacrosse this Sunday and he looks so cute in all his gear. Randall is really excited to see him play, since Randall played Lacrosse in college. We're all going to watch his first practice on Sunday...should be a good time. I'll try and remember to take pictures so I can post them.

Other than that...we're just getting excited about the holidays coming up...can't wait for Charlotte's first Christmas!!!

4 Months Old!!

Charlotte turned 4 months old yesterday! Our friends Abby and Gregg were in town, so while the boys played golf mommy, Charlotte and Abby headed to the outlet mall in San Marcos to find some good deals! Abby and I shopped till we dropped, while sweet Charlotte napped the whole time (what a great way to shop)! I don't know if it was the cooler weather we had or all the white noise around the mall, but whatever it was Charlotte was out like a light. While she slept we found some really cute winter clothes for Char...what can we say she's a stylin' chick!

After we started our way back home Charlotte decided she didn't want to be in her car seat any longer and began to scream bloody murder for 20 minutes straight...poor Abby did everything she could think of to calm her down, but nothing worked. I couldn't do much since I was driving except try to get to our house as soon as possible. Sometimes a girl just needs to cry it out! I was very thankful she didn't have her melt down in one of the stores (which has happened before). It's the worst feeling hearing your baby scream and you can't do anything about it, but she eventualy calmed down as we pulled into the driveway. :)

I guess the biggest milestone we've had lately is moving Charlotte up to her own room. This past week it's been harder than ever to get her to go to sleep, but by Thursday we really had the hang of it. We think she's more aware of her surroundings now, so it's taken her some time to adjust to her new bed. We were afraid that she was keeping Evan awake since their rooms are right by eachother, but when we ask him in the mornings if she keeps him up, he just says nope...I didn't hear a thing (thank goodness for heavy sleepers)!

The other big change has been the fact that she's found her feet! She loves to grab them when we are changing her or when she's just waking up in the morning. She really splashes in the bathtub now too. She also loves to try and stand up when we are holding her, she must be building those muscles up so she can walk in the future. So cute!

I've misplaced my camera, so I'll add some more pictures soon. Love to all!

3 Months Old!!

Charlotte will be officially 3 months old on Thursday. I can't believe how fast those last few months have flown by! It makes me kind of sad that she's getting older, but it is so fun to watch her grow! She is so funny these days, she loves to smile at her brother and daddy. We think she might be a bit of a flirt! She smiles at her mommy too, but whenever I try to snap a photo she seems to always be sticking her tounge out....maybe because she knows I'm the one who feeds her--haha. Randall can even get her laughing, which makes all of us laugh. Charlotte's also been sleeping through the nights for the most part, so she may be sleeping in her very own room soon!!
We were in Spring last weekend for a baby shower and wedding shower, so we're looking forward to being in town this weekend, especially since we will get to see our out of town friends at Ashley and Brian's Wedding here in Austin! Can't wait!

What a Summer!!!

So, Charlotte is 10weeks old today and is already trying to sit up!!! Can you believe that??? When you lay her down against your knees she tries to pull up. We've been propping her on the sofa and she loves it. She's trying to be a big girl already. Don't you just love those chubby cheeks?!! I know I do!! When I took her to the doctor last week she got her 2 month old shots, which she hated (and so did I) and she weighed 12.8lbs!! She's really growing fast, her head circumference and weight are in the 50-75th percentile and her height is in the 25th percentile....we're sure she'll even out as she gets more active. At least we know she's getting fed!!

Right after we got back from NJ we headed to Spring for my sweet friend Abby's Wedding. She made a beautiful bride, and again I should have taken more pictures, but it's hard to take pictures and burp/change/nurse/rock a baby. This is her getting ready right before the ceremony.

And more napping on her daddy...her arms are draped over both sides of him, so sweet.

Evan is a thrill seeker for sure. He would have rode every roller coaster on the boardwalk in NJ, if he would have been tall enough. He already likes the ones that go backwards and upside down--my kinda kiddo! This is Vincent and Evan going up, up up....

Charlotte's MomMom had a baby picture of her and Charlotte could have been her twin. We definitely think she has her MomMom's nose. :)

Charlotte napping on her daddy in NJ....she slept great the whole time we were there. We all think it was the fresh sea air. Lord knows we haven't been getting out of the house much in Austin because it's been too dang hot!!

Yes, we are crazy and took our 8 week old on a 3 hour plane ride to New Jersey. She was great though, slept most of the trip....no nasty looks from the fellow fliers--way to go Charlotte!! We stayed about a week to visit Randall's family. We should have taken more pictures, but I was busy with the baby and Randall was busy taking pictures of himself drinking and posting them on facebook (haha). We got a few though!

Charlotte's first swimming experience at my parent's house was not too great. We dressed her all up in her little swimming outfit and then as soon as we put her in the water she started to scream. We know she'll love it one day....just not that day apparently. The outfit was too darn cute though!

Evan turned 9!! I can't believe next year he will be 10, that doesn't seem possible. We threw him a birthday party at "Pump it Up" where everything is inflateable. Him and his friends had a good time running around and playing and then he got to eat his cookie cake in the "Kings' Chair" (I think I need one of these at our house)!

She loves bath time now, she even splashes with her feet. When we take her out of the tub her hair is sooooo curly, but it dries straighter, so we don't know what her hair is going to do as she grows!!

Her favorite....the swing. She now has 3 one at our house, one at MiMi and Daddy Glenn's, and one at MomMom and PopPop's. It must be nice to be the princess. ...

We spent 4th of July in Spring. My parents had a family reunion and Charlotte got to meet some of her cousins and her Great Aunt Suzie! They were both dressed for the holiday!

We've had a very bbbbbusy summer! I'm obviously not the best at blogging, so please accept my apologies for all of you who check back frequently (Katie, Jean, Mom, Bren, etc.)!! I hope you enjoy the pictures of our family from this summer.
